Web Odyssey is a web browser based around the Internet
Explorer core. Web Odyssey has 5 tabbed web browsers built
into the interface that you can switch between so that
you do not have to open multiple instances of it. It contain
a built in sound player so that you can listen to MP3s,
WAVs without opening a separate program. You click the
speaker button and the sound player comes up as 5 buttons
to the right of the address bar making the address bar
shorter. It's basically a panel that can be closed and
opened at any time without any slowdown. There is also
the favorites panel. Click the heart and the favorites
panel comes onto the screen making the web browser smaller
without changing the size of the Web Odyssey window. One
other panel, the CrossCut panel is also built into Web
Odyssey. CrossCut is a program that is also made by Davy's
VB Creations that has many features. We took the multiple
search engines and added them to Web Odyssey. To use it,
click the heart button the toolbar, type in your search
material (or stock symbol or even the city you'd like
to get a weather forecast for) and then click the appropriate
button. There are 12 search engines, stock quotes, and
weather forecasts at your disposal.
Last, but not least of the Web Odyssey
specific features is a scratch pad so that you can copy
and paste web sites URLs or any other information you
find onto the scratch pad and not have to open a separate
program to do so or save the URL as a favorite. The scratch
pad saves its contents when its closed and when Web Odyssey
is closed and the text is loaded into the scratch pad
when it's reopened. Plus Web Odyssey contains all of your
favorite Internet Explorer options.
