KioskLaunch 2.0, Copyright 2000 The Prosoma Group, Inc.
For Windows 95 +

What's New in version 2?
KioskLaunch can now be configured to launch any HTML file or URL from a CD via an INI file.
KioskLaunch and the INI file can be renamed as long as they have the same name (yourname.exe & yourname.ini).
If you delete the INI file, KioskLaunch will create a fresh one with the same name as the EXE.
To configure the INI file simply open it with a plain text editor such as Notepad or EditPad, and type the desired file name or URL immediately after "File=". Save the changes and you're set.
Note: To open a URL: (http://www.anyurl.com/) - always use (http://).
      To open a HTML file from a CD, use the path relative to the executable: (yourfile.html or pages\yourfile.html).

To autorun KioskLaunch from a CD, open your plain text editor and paste the following 2 lines in:

[autorun]
open=KioskLaunch(or yourname).exe

Save the file as "Autorun.inf". Put this file along with "KioskLaunch(or yourname).exe" and "KioskLaunch(or yourname).ini" in the root level of your CD.

What is KioskLaunch?
Launch Internet Explorer or Netscape in Kiosk mode with the press of a key. This simple tool allows you to enter the path of an HTML file and open it instantly in Kiosk mode. KioskLaunch is a the perfect tool for anyone who needs to deliver a Web presentation live or from a CD. The path you specify can be local (C:\myfolder\myfile.htm) or remote (http://www.anyurl.com/).

How does it work?
KioskLaunch works by checking the registry for your default browser. If you don't have Netscape or Internet Explorer installed, KioskLaunch will alert you and exit. KioskLaunch only works with Netscape 4.02+ and Internet Explorer 4.0+.

Navigation Tips:
When you run Internet Explorer or Netscape in Kiosk mode, the title bar, menus, toolbars, and status bar are not displayed and the browser runs in Full Screen mode. Unless you have buttons on your presentation that duplicate the basic browser functions the only way to navigate in Kiosk mode is by using keyboard shortcuts. It is a good idea to familiarize yourself with your default browser's keyboard shortcuts. The following shortcuts apply to both Netscape and Internet Explorer.
BACK = Alt+Left Arrow
FORWARD = Alt+Right Arrow
STOP = Esc
EXIT = Alt+F4
SWITCH PROGRAMS = Alt+Tab

Can we customize KioskLaunch for you?
